MENOMONEE FALLS (7/6/16) — Susan Kirchstein has now taken the reigns of the Food Service Department for the School District of Menomonee Falls.
Ruth Ann Kiley Wiedmeyer announced her retirement during the 2015-2016 school year after 15 years of service in the district and more than 30 in food service for schools, and has been helping Kirchstein get acquainted with her new district over the last couple of months.
“Ruth Ann has been deeply committed to the school district, to the improvement process she worked directly with the food service team to build a leadership team,” said Dr. Pat Greco, SDMF Superintendent. “It’s been a privilege to work with her.”
Kirchstein is a native of Greendale, Wisconsin but has most recently worked in Minnesota.
“I am so excited to be a part of the School District of Menomonee Falls, and to be your Director of School Nutrition,” she said. “I’ve had the great privilege of working for two very strong districts, Hopkins and St. Paul public schools.”
While at St. Paul, she oversaw 16 of the 68 public school’s nutrition programs. She says she is looking forward to applying her knowledge here at SDMF.
Kirchstein, her husband who is also a native of Wisconsin and their two miniature dachshunds are relocating to the area.
“We are so happy to be back home with family and friends and of course, for my husband, being back for the Green Bay Packers is fantastic,” she said. “He’s very excited.”
