Golla Named Director of Curriculum & Learning

MENOMONEE FALLS (4/27/16) — Menomonee Falls High School Principal Corey Golla has been named the new Director of Curriculum & Learning for the School District of Menomonee Falls.
The announcement was made at the Monday, April 25 school board meeting. Golla was selected out of a pool of 79 candidates.
“Corey Golla is an experienced leader with exceptional skills,” said Dr. Pat Greco, SDMF Superintendent. “Corey built a culture of improvement with students and staff. The results of student learning have demonstrated exceptional gains. Overall we are fortunate to have strong leaders in every role who respect one another and work tirelessly to support students, families, staff and the community. We welcome Corey to his new role and remain excited about our journey ahead.”
Golla is replacing Dr. Gary Kiltz who was named superintendent for the Greendale School District. The High School principal position will be posted next month and the official transition will take place in July.
“Corey is a natural choice for this position with his leadership around the instructional alignment to ACT and viable career pathways at Menomonee Falls High School,” Kiltz said. “The transition will be smooth, and the district will continue to make great strides with student achievement under his leadership in the Curriculum and Learning role.”
Golla has served as principal for MFHS since 2012 and is beloved by both students and staff. Prior to his service in the district he was also an Athletics & Activities Director for Brookfield East High School, and a high school and middle school teacher in social studies in the Elmbrook School District.
“I am thrilled and thoroughly appreciative to have this opportunity to continue our work and my career in Menomonee Falls,” Golla said. “This district is a great fit for me and I am excited to continue serving alongside many of the very best in education.”
He has a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Marian University and is a Six Sigma Green Belt. Golla will be formally introduced at the next regular school board meeting, May 9 at 6 p.m. in Village Hall.
